Cullen Construction Management provided Owner's Representation services for The Village of Tinley Park's new community plaza, Harmony Square located at 6700 North Street in Tinley Park, IL.

This new multi-use plaza sits on 1.6 acres in the heart of Downtown Tinley. Harmony Square was designed by the Lakota Group as a “third place” beyond work and home for residents and visitors to come to and relax. The adaptive plaza space can accommodate events all year long, from Village staples such as the Holiday Market and Music in the Plaza to newer offerings like Movies in the Park, seasonal light shows, and children's performances.

Cullen Construction Management served as Owner's Representative for The Village of Tinley Park. The $40M multi-stakeholder public space redevelopment required careful coordination across designers, contractors, utilities, local businesses, and community groups. Cullen CM managed this complexity with a responsive, accountable approach throughout every project phase.

The project’s design and construction required close coordination with neighboring establishments to maintain access, protect operations, and ensure the new plaza complemented the historic and cultural fabric of the district. This integration strengthened the connection between the plaza and the surrounding businesses, supporting a more active, inviting, and walkable entertainment district.

Harmony Square highlights include a synthetic turf lawn, a water feature, a 30x50’ concert stage, fire pits, a synthetic ice rink in the winter with curling lanes, a gateway pergola and much more.

The project also includes infrastructure improvements, the reconstruction and beautification of North and South streets with brick pavers, and the construction of a new road connecting North and 173rd streets.

Cullen CM was praised for supporting the Village’s interests and balancing design and construction priorities.
